The Trotwood Housing Rehabilitation Program
In an effort to address the abandoned, vacant properties that remain as a result of the 2008 Great Recession, the Trotwood CIC has acquired tax foreclosure eligible properties using its status under the Ohio Revised Code as a "Land Reutilzation Corporation." The Trotwood CIC then makes these properties available to eligible buyers to rehabilitate and live-in, sell to a home buyer, or rent/lease. The mission of this program is to encourage reinvestment into Trotwood's housing stock and create new, quality housing opportunities for families where a home was previously vacant. Through doing this, we can welcome new residents to the City to support our businesses while increasing property values for current residents.
